The Top Scope College VCE Beginner English course is focused on helping students in the middle years to prepare for VCE by developing all the core skills required for VCE English.

The Top Scope College VCE Literature course is focused on helping students to prepare by developing all the core skills required for success in VCE Literature.
Students work with their prescribed school texts to prepare for each assessment and extra resources are provided according to individual needs.
The course develops:
- Creative, analytical expression and interpretation skills.
- Awareness of literary devices, vocabulary and metalanguage, and how to apply these effectively.
- An enhanced understanding of implied meanings, purposes, styles, structures of texts and forms of writing.
- The ability to make sound and critical judgments about a variety of text types and authorial choices.
- The ability to write effectively and coherently.

Mathematics VCE Unit 1-4
The Top Scope College’s VCE Mathematics course is an accelerated program focused on developing the students’:
- Logical and critical thinking necessary for complex problem solving.
- In depth calculator training (CAS or Casio).
- Effective work habits and ethics.
- Intuitive understanding of mathematical concepts as opposed to memorizing formulas.

The VCE mathematics curriculum is divided into 3 subjects, each having a different learning focus:
Further Mathematics:
There are two core and two selective modules. The core modules, which are compulsory for all students taking further mathematics include:
- Data Analysis
- Recursion and Financial Modelling
Two more selective modules are to be completed on top of the core modules. These modules include:
- Graphs and relations
- Networks and decision mathematics
- Geometry and Measurement
- Matrices
Each of the selective modules will comprise 20 percent of the course mark.
Mathematics Methods:
Methods explores the application of the following key concepts:
- Functions
- Trigonometry
- Algebra
- Calculus
- Probability
- Statistics
Maths Methods differs from Further Maths in its application of more abstract and theoretical concepts, such as algebra and calculus.
Specialist Mathematics:
Specialist Maths is designed to extend the students’ skills further by taking them beyond concepts taught in Maths Methods, exploring all of Methods’ concepts in greater detail and with the addition of new ones.

- Calculus

- Differential equations
- Mechanics
- Statistical inference
Study of Specialist Mathematics assumes concurrent study or previous completion of Mathematical Methods Units 3 and 4.
Physics VCE Unit 1-4
The Top Scope VCE Physics course focuses on helping students:
